AAA Nepal COVID-19 Food Bank Campaign
With your help, we can make a difference.
For the past 20 years, Aussie Action Abroad (AAA), an Australian based charity, has provided unique volunteer humanitarian adventures working with communities in urban, regional and remote areas of Nepal.
COVID 19 has decimated the tourism industry in Nepal, leaving communities and individuals with little-to-no employment or income for almost 18 months.
Our communities, Nepali partners and staff, are facing a second wave of COVID outbreaks, lockdowns and ongoing restrictions.
While the public health outcomes of lockdowns are strong, the economic, mental health and social impacts are tremendous.
Community Food Bank Campaign
Our Nepali partner network has begun distributing food and essentials to those in need and requested help to continue and extend Food Banks into more communities.
Your donation will be used entirely in Nepal to purchase food items for the Community Food Banks listed below and distributed to those in urgent need.
A donation of:
$25 supports an individual with a one-month food pack.
$50 buys a two-week food pack for a family of four.
$70 supports a family of four with a one-month food pack.
As of 1st June, our current network partners and communities are:
· Motherland Women Society: feeding and supporting children affected by COVID 19
· Lions Clubs of Kathmandu: providing food to those living on the streets
· Itpare Community: food supplies for those living in poor living conditions and little or no income
We are working to grow our AAA/Nepal COVID 19 FOOD BANK network. As we grow, new communities and partners will be listed.
