Worthy of our help

Friends, with the devastating tragedy of hurricane Maria, the Gov't of Puerto Rico will recieve untold amounts of funds in the coming months..as it should. However, much of those monies will be put into revitalizing main tourist population areas FIRST in order to restore a flow of INCOME that pays the taxes necessary for Gov't to function. Unfortunately, those people living in small towns and rural areas will suffer the greatest indigities to both body and soul. Wanda and I have family in such areas. Her 83 year old parents, a brother, sister as well as aunt's and uncles, nephews, nieces are all on the hard hit Western part of the Island.. The elderly may have to be evacuated and  resettled until electricity and water can be restored. That may well take many months. Homes, vehicles and businesses have been damaged or disrupted. The prospects for the forseeable future are the stuff of nightmares.
Of course Wanda and I  are contributing as much of our own personal resources as possible but the total cost to restore some semblence of normality for all those affected will be beyond our own capabilities. Our family are all wonderful, warm, caring, emotionally generous and loving people. So, although this is difficult for me to do, I ask that those of you who can contribute to help them gain a chance at slowly bringing stability back into their lives...consider doing so. The funds will be used for housing repairs, gas, food, medical supplies and all necessities that will need replacing; probably many more basic things than we can enumerate here.
Any donation, no matter the amount, will be greatly appreciated. Please consider, that as you know we would do for your family, you will help do for ours.
