A New Leg for Andrea

Andrea is a very good friend of mine.  She has been an amputee since she was a teenager.  She is a mother to two very active boys.  Like almost every amputee who I know, Andrea has been experiencing a great deal of pain and discomfort with her prosthesis.

I created this account to raise money so that I could have a procedure done that is actually similar to hip or knee replacement called Osseointegration.  I also intended that this fund become a perpetual pay it forward account that will allow other amputees to get  the best treatment available as soon as they need it.  My surgery is booked!  Now it's Andrea's turn!!
I cannot think of anyone more deserving to receive this life restoring surgery.

This procedure is not available in Canada YET.  It has been performed with great success by Dr. Munjed Al Muderis in Sydney, Australia.  As soon as the required funds are in place this procedure can be booked and done within as little as two to three months.  To attempt to have this procedure approved and performed in Canada will take years. With your help Andrea can have this treatment done within the next year.
