Stolen but not Broken-Starting Over

"Why do bad things happen to good people?"
This question has existed as long as I could remember, up until this point of my life , I've yet to develop a logical answer...
I believe in helping others.
Majority of the things I engage in and choose to do in my life revolve around people and wanting to see them achieve success.
Recently I've started to pursue Videography/Photography on a professional tip, to help bridge the gap between the ideas/creativity of others to reality and what many may seem to think is impossible to create.
The other week I was filming a short documentary piece for a international artist in broad daylight. While filming, everything was going well, we decided to set down majority of the equipment that was not needed during the current scene being filmed and chose to set it in the car.
As we wrapped up filming and returned to the car, I instantly noticed something was wrong. In less than 15 minutes someone had broken into the car and stolen my camera, 1 bag carrying various lens, camera gimbal, tripod, 2 bags holding audio accessories, artist MacBook pro, backup drive and so much more. Totaling more than $12,000
Quick Flashback...
I used to do Automotive detailing, Car audio, and Small business consulting.
Back in December 2015 I was robbed of all my equipment , tools, wallet , phone and goods. It was a life changing event for me that took me a very long time to cope with and literally led me to change my career path. Soon after is when I chose to invest in myself and start to purchase media equipment.
Back to present day...
When my camera and stuff was stolen I started to feel that pain all over again but I'm a firm believer in everything happening for a reason, so I decided to cope with this a little differently.
Today I choose to ask for help.
I'm used to being the person that people come to in a time of need and those that know me, know I will always be that person but through my years I’ve never asked for help, it is one of the hardest things for me to do.
Today I ask for donations, to start the rebuilding process. I've lost over $12,000 worth of equipment but even gaining a portion of that will bring me back stronger than I started.
Thank you & God Bless
