Sara Hailu's recovery

On October 24, 2015 my sister Sara Hailu was a passenger in her coworkers vehicle that was involved in a critical accident. They had to be cut out of the car and rushed to shock trauma. My sisters injuries included broken ribs, a collapsed lung, bruised liver, the removal of her spleen, and bleeding in the brain. The front of her head had to be shaved in order for them to monitor and drain the fluids in her head. If it were not for the great team at the University of Maryland shock trauma she would not be here with us today. She was sedated for what seemed like forever and her condition was extremely painful for me and my family to witness. After leaving shock trauma she was then transferred to a rehabilitation center because of her TBI (traumatic brain injury) where she is relearning every day things. Unfortunately Sara did not have medical insurance when the incident occurred and is still pending coverage through the state. Due to this accident her life is on hold. She has bills due and medical bills to come. I am starting this account for her in hopes to help pay off her medical debt and other expenses. Also, anyone who knows my sister knows that her hair is important to her just as it would be to any other woman. On top of paying some of her bills I would like to purchase her a natural looking wig, leaving some funds for her savings account. She will not be able to return back to work for a very long time so any donations are greatly appreciated!
