Final Wishes & Medical Bills

My mother, Mary Arnell Kimbro, a loving wife, mother and amazing grandmother, was diagnosed with a Glyoblastoma at the end of November 2013.  She had just recently retired earlier in the year to be able to spend more time with her grandchildren.  Unfortunately, this time was interrupted due to her diagnosis.  Once we were told she had this devastating disease, the surgery to remove as much of the tumor as they could came very quickly.  Sadly, at the time of surgery and the few weeks following she did not have any medical insurance.  Her 65th birthday was still to come in January of this year.  Of course starting January 1st she did start receiving Medicare which helped with the mounting bills.

We knew the outcome of this disease was grim but did not realize how soon the final stages would come.  Her responce to treatment did not go as well as we had wished.  Her health has declined so quickly the last few weeks.  With heavy hearts the decision to place her on hospice was made this week.  

It has been discovered that my mother does not have any life insurance nor prior arrangements upon her death.  This has fallen on the family to make and fund these arrangements.  As well as take responsibility of the accumulated medical bills.  Unfortunately we are unable to bare these expenses alone.

We ask of friends and loved ones for a kind donation to help ease the burden of these costs.  No amount is too small.  We also ask that in lieu of flowers and/or meals, upon her passing, a small donation be made instead.

These are very difficult times.  We truly appreciate all of the prayers and support we have received from everyone!!  Our hearts are forever grateful to each and every one of you!!
