Major open heart surgery

Hello, my name is Michael Angelo Antonelli. Thank you for taking the time to read and consider helping.

My wife Bonnie is scheduled to have major open heart surgery to replace the ascending aorta due to an aneurysm and a replacement of the aortic valve. Bonnie also has Ehlers-Danlos syndrome which may complicate things.

We have no one who can help care for her post-surgery other than me. Insurance will only cover someone to come three times a week for two hours at a time to check on her. This is not adequate coverage for the help and assistance she will need.

Having only one week of paid vacation time with the company I work for is short of the time she will need care. It is humbling but we could use some helping angels.

As a US Navy Retired Veteran, I have a modest income from my service, but it is not enough to make ends meet. I earn additional income as a truck driver. If I am not driving, I am not making any additional earnings to make ends meet let alone afford home health care to come in and take care of her.

With the extensive surgery required to replace the aortic portion and aortic valve doctors have informed us that Bonnie will need assistance for at least eight weeks post-surgery for recovery.

I am asking all my kind friends, family, or anyone else so inspired to help us out a little so I can be at home to take care of Bonnie during this critical time. Any donation would be greatly appreciated.
