I documented our journey with my love Gino and his cancer on CaringBridge.org in the above link. He passed away yesterday June 3rd on my birthday. We have a son together and he had two children before me. We spent the last 18 years together running a business and planning on growing old together. In August 2013 we found out he had advance stage bladder cancer, that quickly moved to his right hip bone. In the past months we lost it all and I moved us home to my parents. They are both 80 years old and on a fixed income. I will need to get a full time job soon and pull it together for our 15 year old son and I. Right now I am numb and heart broken. I am setting up the cremation with the Omega Society, and will need to pay them and have some sort of memorial service for him. We have many clients and people who love us. Gino touched the hearts of many with his heart warming loud laughter and genuine desire to help. I know I will be able to pay it forward someday. We have increased my parents monthly bills and the last thing I want is to be a burden to anyone. Please consider helping us get through this next couple of months. I am grateful and know that this too shall pass. I just know I need help and as difficult as it is to ask, I am reaching out so Gino receives a beautiful memorial. Allowing our children, and those that love us to say Goodbye until we meet again! Thank you for your consideration.
