My name is Edward Mikulewicz, also known by my online alias Rorian to some.
I survived an abusive living situation with my dad, it feels weird saying it on such a public stage, but it's part of my story I guess so I may as well be as candid as possible.
Growing up it was physical abuse, as I grew older it gradually became strictly mental abuse. I lived with my dad up until last year, he gradually got worse in health back in 2015 after having three strokes in the course of a year and I'd taken care of him as he began to develop Alzheimers and Dementia. It required full time attention and it didn't allow me to address my own constantly degrading mental health.
I am diagnosed with profound depression, anxiety and PTSD so the idea of doing anything that would be considered normal in life is significantly more challenging to me. Currently I'm receiving the support of friends to survive but through this I hope to obtain a house and a car, a small house that I can fix up on my own and to pay off a car that currently requires around $15,000 to pay off.
The idea of living in general seems too difficult and there have been many, many times where I wanted to just stop, even now there are times where things look too difficult and the future seems too uncertain for me to keep going and the idea of just finding a way to end it all seems easier and less frightening than dealing with potentially living and suffering more than I can handle.
That's all this campaign is for really, I just want the future to look more certain, more manageable. I just need help carrying on because I've gotten to the point where I realize that I can't do it on my own.
