The Robinson Family Fund

This page was started to assist The Robinson Family of Groton with the tremendous burden that they have due to medical bills.  Their daughter Nadia was born with tricuspid atresia with a ventricular septal defect, atrial septal defect, and hypoplastic right ventricle on August 10, 2011. Since she was born she has had 2 open heart surgeries, numerous other procedures and countless trips to Yale New Haven Hospital.  Her third open heart surgery is to be done at Yale New Haven Hospital on July 17th of this year. She has 3 pre-surgical appointments at Yale before then. The family not only is being slammed with a lot of medical expenses but have the costs of traveling and time off of work to care for Nadia. She is the youngest of 4, and has had 6 surgeries since she was 2 months old.

Nadia's parents both work and pay for private health insurance.  Nadia DOES NOT qualify for state assistance or Husky insurance as a secondary.  She has older siblings as well who also need to be taken care of.  The family has volunteered their time locally to youth football, cheerleading and basketball.  Nadia's mother is the local High School cheerleading coach as well. 

The Robinson's are a great family who have had to deal with more than the average folks.  Everyone needs a little help every now and then.  Even if 1000 people gave $5 each, that would be $5000.00.  We all know there are way more than 1000 people living in New London County.
