Home lost due to fire

"Pops" Hager and his family lost their home and everything in it due to an electrical fire. His family is on a fixed income and they are in their 70's. His daughter and 6 year old grandson are currently living with them.
"Pops" is well known around Jekyll Island, among those who seine for fish and shrimp, as the man who builds and repairs fish and shrimp seines; virtually a lost art in today's world.
The fire department which responded to the fire contacted the Red Cross on their behalf and they are currently receiving assistance from them for their more immediate needs.
Any funds raised with this campaign will go toward replacing their home and its contents. Anyone wishing to donate furniture, appliances, or other goods may contact him at: [phone redacted]. These will be required once he has acquired another dwelling. It may take several weeks to clean up the remnants of his home and make preparations for either replacing it or possibly building a small structure.
