Lucas's new heart

Lucas is a 4 year old that was born with a rare heart condition.  He will be going into his 3rd open heart, reconstructive surgery on 3/30/2016.  When you talk to Lucas he is sure to put a smile on your face with his deep raspy voice, big dark eyes and silly personality.  You would not even know there was anything going on with his little heart. When you look a little closer you will notice, his blue lips and shortness of breath. But, he still has the energy to keep you running. This is my cousins little boy, that I'm blessed to be with everyday in my daycare. I really want to do something for them, they live there life everyday with this weight of how is his heart doing.  So I decided something I could do is reach out to all of you and ask for a donation to help with their finances. As a lot of us know health care is quiet expensive. 

His Story:
Before Lucas was even born the Dr.'s discovered that Lucas's heart was not good. He has a double inlet left venticle, aortic atresia and an interrupted aortic arch. Basically his heart  only has one working pumping chamber and the valve cannot open properly, which means the blood cannot move from the left ventricle to the body. He under went his first surgery when he was only days old and his second came 6 months later. This will not be his last and eventually he will need a heart transplant.

When we asked Lucas's parents about a GoFundMe page they were hesitant because they didn't want to ask people for money. But, the truth is they will be taking a significant amount of time off to be with Lucas while he is recovering. Plus the medical bills will still be coming in. We will appricate any amount you are able to give or share this with your friends. Most of all please keep Lucas and his family in your prayers while he is recovering.
