Although this evening’s video will not be quite as good as ‘the real deal’, we hope that you will love it nonetheless and that your hearts will be filled with the compassion and the camaraderie that have become such a big part of the past eight years. Please join us for our 9th Annual Benefit for Parkinson's Research, Virtual Edition! Our family has been hosting this event for the past eight years at Greenfield's Pub in Barrhaven to great success!
This virtual platform is a new experience for us and we hope it will prove to be as much fun and just as successful. There will be good music, interesting guest speakers, announcement of Fellowship Award winners, a look back over the years and even a little game show! And no limit on attendees this year!!
Our very first Benefit Concert, eight years ago in 2012, was in honour of our friend, Shelby Hayter. Shelby continues to inspire us to continue this fight for a cure and we are so pleased that she will join us and revisit her story from diagnosis to the present.
In lieu of buying a paper ticket, we hope that our guests will make a donation of $20 for a virtual ticket as they enjoy the video event with family and friends. The video will be launching on October 25th at 7:00 pm - right here!
No raffle this year but we will still be hosting our very popular silent auction on Facebook . The auction is now open for bids! Just enter your bids in the comments section under each item. Parkinson's research is ongoing and advancing but relies heavily on donations so that new scientific studies can be launched and the fight to find a cure can continue. Thank you for joining us this evening and being a part of this effort. THANK YOU for your support and your compassion!
