Shane de Bruin

Meet Shane de Bruin, a bright 14 year old boy and also the first young individual that Sun Africa Safaris together with their clients has sponsored to attend Gill College in Somerset East. 

MORE ABOUT SHANE:

Shane attended Pearston Primary School in Pearston, where he crossed paths with Teacher Annalie Moolman. Shane stood out above his class and showed a lot of promise. 

Shane was raised by his grandmother and unfortunately would have never been able to attend a school that can offer the opportunities he deserves. Sadly the Schools in the rural areas lack the necessary resources to provide a thriving student like Shane with a solid education platform. 

Thanks to generous donations from our international clients Shane was able to apply for a spot at Gill College. Shane’s application was approved and he started his Grade 8 year at Gill College in the beginning of 2020. He has been doing very well. 

Covid 19 has had a shocking impact on so many industries including the tourism industry. South Africa is currently on a level 3 lockdown, tourism has halted and so has funding for Shane’s sponsorship. 

We decided to donate a 10 Day Safari and one lucky donor will receive this prize to claim once the world return to normal. We will draw the name of the lucky Donor at the end of the year. Just in time for a Christmas Present. 

Lets keep Shane in school and help him be an inspiration for all kids thats live in these rural areas.
