Opie Lowe Fund

Hey everyone, friends, family, and strangers alike. This GoFundMe was put together for Opie Lowe, by his kids... He has had a rough month, and will have many more ahead of him. A little background - Opie was air lifted to St. John's Mercy St. Louis on May 3rd, 2014, with a bowel obstruction. He had a blood clot in the main artery to his Small Intestine. 3 surgeries later, most of his small intestine was removed, an ileostomy was placed, along with a mucus fistula. 2 weeks later, they removed the ventilator, and week three he finally transferred out of the ICU. He is still currently in the hospital, fighting his fight. They are unsure when he will be released. Our mother has been with him every day since he went in, and her work has been kind enough to work with her and do the best they can. She is most likely going to use FMLA, if he is not released soon. The reason we put this together was not only to help out with whatever supplies he may need when he does get released, or help make whatever changes to the house we may need to, to accommodate him, but to help out with medical bills also. Now this is something we haven't spoken to him or our mother about, because we know they wouldn't know how to accept the help, and they surely wouldn't ask for it. So we ask that this stay as quiet as possible, we would like to surprise him when he gets home. All I know is this has been the hardest thing our family has ever had to endure, and I know it could be way, way worse. We are thankful for all of the prayers, and well wishes that have came our way. We couldn't be more appreciative of such a great group of people, and to see the love for our Dad that everyone has, it's incredible. Anything would be greatly appreciated, and we can't thank you all enough for being there for us in this trying time.
