Care for musician Tim Bishop

Donation protected
Dear Friends,

Tim Bishop played his first professional concert with the Virginia Symphony Orchestra - then called the Norfolk Symphony - in 1967 as a Sophomore in High School. After time in Cleveland, Mexico and Canada he began playing again with the VSO in 1987. Within the Virginia Symphony, Tim has been an inspiring source of musicianship at the highest level, friendship, generosity of spirit and great food.

After being diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer last Fall, Tim pursued aggressive treatment including chemotherapy, radiation and a cutting edge new medicine called Keytruda.

Unfortunately, those treatments were not as effective as hoped and after consulting with his doctors, Tim is now focusing on spending time with his family as part of in home hospice care.

We are reaching out to the Virginia Symphony Orchestra and the broader symphonic community to ask you to help us raise funds for Tim so he can spend his remaining time with appropriate medical care and without constant concern about costs.  Time is of the essence.

Anything you are able to contribute will make a difference for Tim. Let's help him!
