Aloha and thank you for helping us. We recently experienced a series of unfortunate events at the end of 2022. I (Josh) am a bus operator for Utah Transit Authority and my wife (Mindy) also works for UTA in their customer service department. Mindy and I first encountered our first hardship when we were attempting to pick up an early Christmas present for a loved one when during a snowstorm she slipped and fell on her back. She has fractured her L1 vertebrae and herniated 2 additional disc’s. Ever since the fall (end of november 2022) she has not been able to work. She cannot sit up for very long before she is in excruciating pain and has to lay back down. As her husband, she now relies on me and her family members that live close by. Around the same time, I myself unfortunately came down with a bad case of pneumonia which sent me to the hospital. Between Mindy being in the hospital and me being in the hospital it was rough. I still had to work despite how sick I was. Unfortunately Mindy’s disability has been taking forever to kick in and so the weight of everything has fallen on my shoulders. From the housework to bills and doctors visits it has been very difficult. We have fallen behind and are attempting to exhaust every resource to try and get caught up with no luck.
