Jason Boehm'sHip Replacement

My name is Jason Boehm. My wife and I live on a small income, that has enabled us to spend our lives together while providing a full time loving environment for our two sons and our disabled daughter. We have also been afforded the responsibility of my 68 year old father who is a 5 times stroke survivor. Needless to say, due to our low income level, we did not qualify for subsidising through the Affordable Healthcare Act. Our income fell into a little known loophole that led us to believe we did not qualify for healthcare. As it turns out we could purchase insurance but since it was explained to us incorrectly we are now without coverage. I have had a broken leg now, for 5 months. I am in need of hip replacement, not as an elective option, but as medical necessity. I have been turned away from 2 emergency rooms and have met with 2 surgeons who were very understanding and sympathetic to my situation but both wanted money , about $2500 up front to even discuss surgery. This does not include the hip purchase, anesthesiologist, hospital costs or rehab.I am only asking for a 1 dollar donation from my friends and asking them, to on my behalf,  ask their friends for that same 1 dollar. This is what i believe will show the American spirit and also the bonds, that most of created as children, that all these years later, is why we join the social networks we have joined. I do truly only ask for 1 dollar from you, as I firmly believe that although I have a lot of money to raise, I would never want my friends, or strangers, sacrificing or suffering because of the choices I have made over the past 25 years that are in part, reasons why I am in this situation.
