Please support Roseanne in her next IVF journey

So, here goes. I honestly didn't believe id ever do this, but after encouragement from family and friends I have decided to set up this GoFundMe.
This journey has by far been the most difficult I've faced, but being vulnerable and sharing it with others makes it even more difficult.

A little back story

I started my IVF journey in January 2023 due to low fertility, I was told I have low ovarian reserve (AMH 2.9 pmol/l) which means I’m not producing as many eggs as most women my age (31). From a consultation with the doctor, she advised I started the IVF process as soon as possible for the best chance ‘as the possibility of it happening are slim’. This was a massive shock and a lot to absorb.

Like many people, it has always been my dream to become a mommy. After some research, I started the process.
It was a very intense process. Lots of appointments, scans, injections, and tablets. This was both physically and mentally exhausting.
The process resulted in many failed attempts with me having to abandon cycles due to early ovulation, little to no eggs and eggs not growing. This had a great impact on my finances.

Running low of money, I became very anxious. On the next appointment I asked the doctor if it was worth proceeding or abandoning the current cycle due to only having enough to try once more. She said that the eggs weren’t growing and recommended I abandon this cycle too. After much discussion and looking into results, the doctor advised I brought enough medication to see me through the weekend to give the eggs a little more time to grow.

When attending the appointment on the Monday, the doctor was shocked to see the eggs had grown. To my amazement, I was booked in for egg collection where they collected 3 eggs. Unfortunately, one wasn’t a good grade so had to be discarded, which left 2 embryo’s - one grade 4AA(Best) and the other 3BB (Good/Poor). The embryo 3BB was frozen and 4AA was used, this amazing embryo took hold and I found myself pregnant. I couldn't describe how happy I was.

I was having a little baby boy, due 12/2/24 ‘my little miracle baby’. The pregnancy went really well up until 26 weeks when I couldn’t feel movement. I went to the hospital on the Saturday where they completed some assessments, but everything was ‘ok’ (The relief was immense). As a precaution, they booked me in for a scan on the Monday.
Unfortunately, at the scan I was told the devastating news that the baby’s heart had stopped beating. My world shattered into a million pieces. I was taken to the Eden suit where they discussed the next steps.

After the heart-breaking news of losing baby Arlo, I then had to give birth to him. Baby Arlo was born sleeping 10/11/23 at 2.48 pm via medical induced labour weighing just 1lb 10oz, he was the most perfect little boy.
Through the pain and heartbreak, I then had to register him, plan arrangements for his funeral and burial.

After a check-up in January 2024, the results of my ovarian reserve had depleted even more (AMH 0.2pmol/l) to the previous year (AMH 2.9pmol/l). The doctor has again recommended I start IVF as soon as possible and to collect as many eggs as I can before these results worsen. The doctor doesn’t recommend using the frozen embryo in-case it doesn’t survive the thawing process/doesn’t implant and then becomes too late to collect more eggs.

My dream of becoming a mommy is fading Infront of me. At the age of 33, I didn’t expect the devastation I’ve had to endure.

With the first round of IVF costing over £10,000, I am finding it hard to source the money to start the next round of IVF, I’m unfortunately not eligible for the IVF on the NHS due to being a single woman. This is why I’m reaching out to the generosity of others, hoping for support in funding my next attempt. In my journey I have encountered countless challenges and heartbreak, but trying stay hopeful and asking if anyone can help me keep my dream alive.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story. xx
