My fight against kidney failure
Donation protected
My name is Dakota I am 21 years old and I have just been diagnosed with Stage 5 Renal failure. I'm just a normal guy I enjoy video games and hanging out with my Family and friends. In September of this year I thought I had the flu I had a cough, nausea sweating and some vomiting. I took over over the counter medicine for cold and flu and continued to go to work. The symptoms continued and my Mom took me to Urgent care. They did a EKG and my Blood pressure was 202/143 and I was sent to the emergency room and then they took me by ambulance to another hospital and put me in ICU. The picture is me in ICU I was really swollen and had tubes wires and needle stuck all over me. They started giving me blood and that's when I got scared and thought I might die. The Doctors worked to get me stable and my numbers down, My thyroid and blood pressure levels were real high. I was in ICU for 5 days and then transferred to a regular room where I stayed 9 more days. Once they started doing Dialysis I started to feel better. They finally released me and got to go home. Since then I have been on Dialysis three times a week and have 7 different medicines I take every day. I had a Kidney Biopsy done on November 13 and when the results came back it said I had Stage 5 Renal Failure. Which means I will need dialysis until I have a kidney transplant. I can not go back to work and my Insurance runs out on January 1st just weeks away. I'm going to apply for SSI as soon as I get all the paperwork from my Doctor. But that could take months to get. So I made this fundraiser to ask for donations to help me pay for my Medicines until I get on SSI and Medicare. Thank you all in advance for your donations and prayers. Dakota
