Here at Safe Haven Equine Warriors ( S.H.E.W) we have had a very successful year with several adoptions. We are also proud of our efforts within the community to assist with the re-homing of numerous other horses that were in desperate need of help through no fault of their own. We pride ourselves on creatively finding ways to help most all that reach out to us.
Now as we begin Summer, we know many many horses will be dumped at auction only to be scooped up by killbuyers and sent on that long harrowing trip to Canada or Mexico to be SLAUGHTERED, PROCESSED and used for human food in foreign countries.
Our training team is at the ready, our quarantine facility on stand by, we have 1 open spot here at the farm as calls come in on a regular basis from good people looking for a special horse or pony to call there own.
Here's where your help is needed!
While we are anxiously awaiting the our 501C3 approval, we know horses are dying daily.
Please help us raise the needed funds to take us back to New Holland killbuyer's auction to rescue, rehab, and re-home just 1 deserving horse or pony.
Here at S.H.E.W we pride ourselves on financial responsibility and will always have the majority of funds available BEFORE we take in a horse in need. These funds cover not only the purchase price as we outbid the killbuyers directly on the auction floor, but covers 30 days quarantine, veterinary care including vaccinations and micro-chipping, a specialize feeding program to bring the horse back to health, dental and farrier care along with approximately 3 months feed till that horse is ready to move on to a family of his own through our adoption program. All this will cost approximately $2500.
We are blessed to have a wonderful group of volunteers that help with care and training on a daily basis. It truly takes a village to do what we do so well.

Horses like Leo, Haven, Piper, Lucy, Henry, Mikey and many others are alive and thriving in wonderful homes today or happy here at Safe Haven awaiting their special human because we were there in their darkest hours!
