We have until July 15th to secure enough funds for our boys to participate in the US CLub Soccer 2017 National Cup XVI Finals.
On June 13th, Bay Oaks 2003 Boys won the Western Regional Cup in the U14 Super Group bracket (the highest level possible) which automatically advances them to Nationals. This year the Final will be held in Indianapolis at the end of July.
Some of you may be familiar with East Bay United/Bay Oaks, but for those of you who are not, let me tell you a bit about them. They are a nonprofit youth soccer organization servicing the East Bay. The player pool is extremely diverse with players coming from all socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. To ensure that all players are able to participate, they give out over $300,000 in scholarships to the program annually.
Our 2003 Boys US Soccer Development Academy team is very special. They have had a season unprecedented in all of Bay Oaks history, even beating the San Jose Earthquakes Academy for the very first time. Our boys are an extremely diverse group and all of our boys are dedicated students, with many on their respective school's Honor Roll. College is a priority for all of our boys with some aspiring to become the 1st college graduate in their family.
This is an opportunity of a lifetime for these boys. They will represent the entire Western Region, with only 4 other regions participating. It will give them the chance to play before college scouts from across the country and may even give some of these boys an opportunity to attend a university that they otherwise would not have been able to.
Please consider making a donation. All funds are for the travel, food and lodging for 17 players and 1 coach, which is approximately $1000 per person.
There is NO amount too small. Thank you so very much!
