Prostate Surgery

After 44 years of work and through no fault of my own I find myself currently unemployed. It costs half my unemployment to pay to continue a Cobra Health Insurance policy. I have no other financial resources. My Prostate urgently needs to be removed and the surgery is planned for mid January. The co-payment for this procedure is going to far exceed the $1,ooo goal I am asking but any amount will certainly improve the quality of my life. All I'm asking for is a little financial help so I can prolong my life and spend more time with my wife and continue writing. I know this sounds cornball and I'm feeling like a failure asking the world for money, but there it is. Thank you for your time.
