Help us get Reed home!

Hello friends and family. We are reaching out to everyone for a helping hand. Recently our dog was diagnosed with pancreatitis. He was taken to the pet emergency room for two days until he was transferred to our normal veterinary hospital. Reed was receiving supportive care to help manage the symptoms and discomfort of pancreatitis. After three days, there was only minor improvement and our normally ravenous Reed was still not eating. An ultrasound was done which indicated a linear foreign body in his small intestines. He immediately went under emergency surgery. Upon doing this, the vet found that Reed had sustained several perforations to his intestines requiring them to be sutured. Reed is currently stable at this time but the next 24 to 72 hours are crucial. Reed has a long road to recovery ahead of him.

Reed came into our lives in September of 2012 after he was adopted from Lonely Hearts foundation at 10 weeks. From day one Reed has had a personality like no other. He is constantly happy and loving frequently displaying his "wiggle butt" to anyone he meets. He has shown us and our other pets a form of unconditional love that can't be beat. He is brightened every one of our days and we are not ready to say goodbye to him. As I am sure many of you are aware the cost of proper veterinary care at this level is quite extensive. We are already in the realm of reaching $5,000 in cost and he is not near is recovery yet. Any prayer, positive thoughts, energy, or small donation you would be willing to contribute to Reed would be appreciated beyond words!
