In October 2013, Tia's life changed forever when she was diagnosed with Stage IV Mestatic Kidney Cancer. At 35 years of age, raising a young son and recently engaged she should NOT have had this diagnosis, but she did.
Presently, she has undergone two surgeries, one for a kidney removal and the other to have a part of her lung removed. She is now undergoing chemotherapy and in for the fight of her life.
Family, friends and coworkers have come together to help form TEAM TIA. We are doing this to help cover costs for chemotherapy trips that occur every 21 days at the MAYO CLINIC in Jacksonville, FL.
