To my family, friends, and all those who believe in giving back,
My name is Julian Gapud and I am a fourth year dental student at Howard University College of Dentistry. For those who know me and those who don't, becoming a dentist has been a life-long dream of mine that will soon become a reality. I have been faced with much adversity to get to this point, but through GOD's love I have not steered away from his plan. Everyday, I am constantly reminded about my purpose to help and serve others, especially those in need.
I am raising money to attend the Christian Dental Society Mission Trip to Jamaica during the week of July 19th-26th. On previous trips, volunteer dentists and students have been able to perform over 500 extractions, 102 fillings, and 160 cleanings on 496 patients in just four days of work. The mission of this trip is to offer dental care to underserved areas in Jamaica while incorporating devotion and prayer to spiritually uplift the community. Being my first dental mission trip, I would like to take every advantage to serve those who are unable to receive dental care while being able to provide emotional support as well.
The money raised for this trip will go towards airfare, lodging, and food for the trip. Any support would be greatly appreciated and thank you for taking the time to read this! God Bless!
