Nikki's Trip to London w/GHS Color Guard

We are excited to share with you a wonderful opportunity for our daughter Nikki. Nikki and her award winning Gilbert High Tiger Pride Marching Band have been personally invited by Duncan Sandys, the Lord Mayor of Westminster—Sir Winston Churchill's great grandson, to participate in London’s 2015 New Year’s Day Parade.
This particular parade now regularly attracts a worldwide TV audience approa...ching three hundred million, a terrific audience on the streets of London every New Year’s and boasts twice as many participants every year as a little Parade offered by Macy’s in New York City on Thanksgiving Day! London’s New Year’s Day Parade is now a very major entry in the United Kingdom’s calendar of events. More than 8,500 performers representing 20 countries world-wide will assemble for the 2015 Parade, which will be filled with marching bands, cheerleaders, clowns, acrobats and much more!
Nikki must raise $3000.00 in order to participate in this once in a lifetime opportunity. Nikki decided that she wanted to do something unique to raise money for her trip. She wanted to create a win/win by doing something for others while raising funds for her trip to London.
Nikki committed on June 14, 2014 to volunteer at Compassion in Action. Compassion in Action has been assisting individuals and families touched by HIV disease in Arizona since 1993 under their parent organization Mission to the Americas. Throughout the North American Continent, Mission to the Americas has been extending God’s love to people in a variety of ways for the last fifty years. Compassion in Action is committed to equipping and mobilizing local church congregations to reach out with the love and compassion of Jesus to care for the needs of all people touched by HIV/AIDS.
