Tiff's Bionic Back Medical Bills

Donation protected
As many of you know, and for those who don't, last year my life changed drastically in a split second. After falling from a ski lift, I went from being ridiculously active to not knowing if I was going to walk again. I suffered an L1 burst fracture (basically a broken back) and severe nerve damage in my legs and feet due to pieces of the vertebrae pressing on my spinal cord. I had two major surgeries to fuse my spine (T12-L2) and spent three weeks in two hospitals. I also had months of physical therapy to learn how to walk and basically adapt to my newly bionic body. It was not an easy task for me mentally or physically. But the hardship has also become financial.

I've been trying to handle the financial burden of this on my own since the accident. However, over the past several months, it's become too much for me. Life has thrown a lot of bad curveballs at me lately. I've been very appreciative of the fact that I'm back at work, but I've had to reduce my hours the past few months because it's become taxing on my body - both my surgically repaired spine and my nerve damaged legs. You don't realize how much you rely on your back and legs until they don't function like they use to. In addition to that, I was recently laid off at my other job. Needless to say, things have been rough lately. I've been trying to stay positive about the situation, as I have throughout the entire recovery process, but the stress is starting to become unbearable, and it is now taking a toll on my continued recovery process.

A few friends suggested when things were starting to get rough that I should try Go Fund Me. I've been trying to avoid it because I'm not the type to ask for help, but like I've learned along this recovery journey, sometimes it's okay to ask for help, and there are people who want to help. If you can help, that's awesome, and I appreciate it more than words can express. If you can't help financially, I completely understand! Thanks for taking the time to read this and thanks for the support along with way.
