Charlie "Junior" Malpica has been battling cancer for the last two years. The diagnosis of Osteosarcoma came just days before his 17th birthday. Junior loved playing sports and was a great football player. He also practiced with the wrestling team in the off season. He enjoys everything your typical teenager likes, from chatting online with friends to playing his playstion. He has always loved animals and is a HUGE fan of Shark Week! He even had an opportunity to swim with sharks recently!
Doctors have been vigorously working trying numerous treatments with no luck.
After two years of putting up a heroic fight, he has now been placed in hospice care. He and the family have now left it in God's hands and remain in high spirits.
His parents have had to make tremendous scrafices and have now depleted all of their resources. Due to Junior's need for around the clock care, the father is the only one working at this time and is struggling to cover his son's necessary medical expenses as well as maintaining the household. Not only are they doing everything they can to care for Junior, they have recently gained full custody of their four year old grandson.
At this time, the family has begun the overwhelming task of funeral preparations and do not have the funds to cover the approximately $15,000 it will take for a proper burial.
Were asking for any donations at this time to assist the family through this extremely difficult process.
