In memory of Jorge

Jorge was the most loving father. He'd do anything and everything for these kids. Such a tragic accident that at such young ages, they have to go through. He was struck by a car while working construction on the side of the road. Obviously, the kiddos, 7 of them, are devastated. They've spent the last month nonstop with him.

A bit of history. Jorge, or Alex as we call him in America, did ALL the right things. He went through English classes, he paid, he did paperwork.. whatever was required  to become a citizen. Sadly, he had a shady lawyer and was deported. He came back and we asked him why he went through that. His only answer every time "for the kids, I'm here for the kids." He worked. and he worked HARD. He even, with the coronavirus as he was let go of one job, he found another in a completely new field, just so he could provide. His FIRST day working at this new job, the accident happened. He never went a day not trying to provide for his kids.

Kelsy also never asks for anything, so I am creating this for one simple reason: to help my sister and her kids. Being legally married, the financial responsibility still falls back on her. We want the kids to go through this process without having to worry and stress about money. We have zero idea what will come of this. We are hopeful that people and companies will do the right thing, but we've been through this before and sadly, saving a company money is more important than a family left behind. We are hopeful for an insurance policy, but that’s all unknown with the driver.

Kelsy's first worry is the kids being able to get through only thinking about love and remembering their dad. Picking out the flowers, getting the chance to have a real service and closure, and memorial urns without her having to say "no, it's too expensive".

We are so incredibly thankful for the outpouring of love already, and I'm hopeful that the next weeks and months we will stay strong for them!
