Liver Transplant care/bills
Donation protected
Gail went into the hospital on Mother's Day 2014 and after a week or so of testing was diagnosed with Autoimmune Hepatitis. She was transported to Vanderbilt Hospital on Wednesday, May 21st where her condition very rapidly progressed. She was placed at the top of the liver transplant list and was miraculously matched with one in less than 24 hours. Her liver transplant was successfully completed on May 23rd and we are continuing the recovery process at Vanderbilt and in Nashville for the next several weeks. God is good all the time!!!
We have no idea at this point in time how much the transplant and care are going to cost, but we do know that Gail's medication will be very expensive and she will not be able to work for several months. The goal is an estimate of funds we know will have to have based on recommendations from Vanderbilt and the Transplant Coordinators. All donations will be used to pay for her care, travel, etc during this period.
