If you knew our dad, Harry Jablonski, a smile would come
to your face just at the thought of him. He is the most
awesome dad ever and we are so lucky that he's ours!
Everyone he meets seems to walk a little bit lighter because
he is such an inspiration. He loves the Cubs (esp Ron Santo),
Jethro Tull and God.
Our dad is the type of guy who would give you the shirt
off his back if you needed it. He grew up on the northwest
side of Chicago, a stone's throw away from Riverview Park.
He endured a difficult childhood but managed, because
of his determined spirit, to change his life and to let
the hard lessons of childhood inspire him to support others
on their journey.
We can't tell you how many people that he has helped.
But we can tell you that one of the saddest days of our
lives came when he was diagnosed with Stage 3 lung cancer
in February, 2014.
His treatment plan has been negatively affected by complica-
tions from the chemo and radiation.
Won't you, please, donate something to alleviate the additional
burden he is carrying due to medical bills. It would mean so
much to all of us.
We have been so touched by many of you whom have sent him
encouraging words and want you to know how much we
appreciate it.
