My Wonderful WifeThe Love of My Life  was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer in September of 2013. Her Doctors recomended a Radical Hysterectomy To remove The Cancer. At the time we did not have any Insurance. All of the medical bills were paid out of pocket to pay for the surgery up front . The costs immediately took our life savings. After the Surgery we were told that she would need Radiation and Chemotherapy to stop any microscopic cancer that may have not been removed by the surgery. We did purchase Insurance through Nevada Health Link as it was offered. Before she could start the Radiation and Chemotherapy the cancer spread to between her lungs and rib cage. The fluid build up between her lungs and rib cage put pressure on her lungs and she could not breath. She spent 8 weeks in the hospital from all the complications.At that time the Oncologist could not start Chemotherapy because of the underlying conditions that she was already dealing with. Eventually they did start Chemotherapy. she had 4 Chemotherapy sessions and after the fourth she started having extreme pain in her neck / back / and head. The pain was starting to get really intense. She was admitted back into the hospital and after numerous tests we were told that the cancer had spread to her spinal cord. She has already started to lose her vision and is in extreme pain. Her Oncologist told us yesterday that that the cancer is terminal and she could last days weeks or even a few months. At this point even with Insurance the medical bills are staggering in cost even our portion of co-pay. She has raised two wonderful sons in Michael and Hunter. We are  so proud of them .
