Robinson Medical and Travel Expenses

Our friends Robby and Shammi Robinson were involved in a motorcycle accident yesterday afternoon while traveling home from Washington D.C. where they participated in Rolling Thunder's 27th Annual "Ride for Freedom".  Robby fared rather well considering they were traveling at highway speed and both were thrown from the bike, but his wife Shammi is in intensive care with several broken bones including a skull fracture and several broken ribs among various other injuries. 

They are currently in a hospital in West Virginia and we are hopeful that in a week or so Shammi will recover enough to be released to travel home to Washington State. Shammi's doctors have advised that she not fly due to her injuries, so the current plan is to rent a UHaul to transport their motorcycle (Ethel) and allow Shammi a safer and more comfortable ride home.

We are hoping to raise enough funds to accomplish their long journey home across the United States and assist with any medical expenses insurance may not cover to ease their and their family's burden during this difficult time. 

We anticipate travel expenses to include the rental of the UHaul, mileage fees, fuel costs, motel stays, and food.
