Hello, my name is Alex, and I am a nonbinary student hoping to get top surgery. I was able to meet with a surgeon, Dr. Winocour in Middle Tennessee, and I had my initial consultation with him. Unfortunately, my insurance will not cover the surgery, so my family will have to pay about $8,000 out of pocket. As I am a student, I don’t have the time to dedicate to a full time job, and my family wouldn’t be able to pay for the surgery out of pocket.
Top surgery is something that I have been wanting for years, and is one of the final steps for my transition. I was really hoping that I would be able to have this surgery done in the near future, but that doesn’t seem possible. Any donation would help, and sharing would be appreciated. Thank you!
