Aubrie Hope Hughes Medical Fund

On April 17th 2014, Mandy and Paul woke up with smiles across their faces and they were very eager to find out the gender of the newest member of their family. As they laid their heads on the pillows that night, their faces were stained with tears. During this exciting day, they not only learned that they are expecting another baby girl (SO EXCITED) they also learned that she has a serious heart defect. After meeting with an ultra sound specialist and a cardiologist, it was confirmed that Aubrie has a condition called Hypoplastic Right Heart Syndrome; which means that her right ventricle in her heart is not developing the way that it should be. She will most likely need 3 heart surgeries before her 4th birthday. This is an adventure that they never thought they would be on, but as they move forward they have realized how BLESSED they are to get the opportunity to be Aubrie’s Hope parents.

We of course wish that we could fill a bank account with thoughts and prayers, but we know that is unrealistic. Although money is something they will need, they also need prayers! We believe that God has placed Aubrie in our lives for a reason and know that miracles can come in the power of prayer! We have been very grateful for those who have been praying for her and those of you who have added her to their prayer lists within their churches and communities. Please continue these prayers as we believe that no matter what, God has a plan for her life and she WILL be our miracle baby!!

We created this account for the Hughes Family as they will be delivering Aubrie at Children’s Hospital in Denver. They will have to leave their home a month prior to her due date and stay at least a month after she makes her appearance! Their stay will ultimately depend on when Aubrie’s first surgery is, and how well she does in recovery. The money will not only help during this initial time, but also for the other surgeries and stays that may be needed within the future.
