Support My Education

My name is Kimberly Cajuste, I am a first-generation college student at Framingham State University and I am going into my Junior year. When I graduate, I am hoping to pursue a graduate degree for my career as a clinical psychologist. This major and career path is important to me, as I am committed to supporting young people, young adults, and working-class people for freedom and liberation.
I am a dedicated educator and student, community organizer, mentor, youth worker and spoken word poet. I have been involved in Social Justice facilitation and supporting the leadership development of youth of color as organizers for social justice and change since 2013. One way that I have done this is through working on staff at the Summer Leadership Program of the City School for the past 5 summers. I am an independent and self-reliant provider for myself and my family.
I write this in an effort to get support from my community with paying my tuition for this upcoming Fall 2018 semester. I have to pay $4000 this semester for my courses and I hope that total will be covered by the funds given through this post. I will also be working during my academic year, and I am still in the process of applying for scholarships and other funding sources available and applicable to me.
Support comes in lots of different ways and I am really grateful for people who are able to donate and give to my education. I'm deeply invested in my education, and I'm asking my community to make this investment in me. I appreciate the support whether through a donation or sharing this post in an effort to reach my fundraising goal.
Your donation and support are greatly appreciated.
