Jack's Hospital Expenses

Hello, my name is Yael. My post today is about my dog Jack. He is my 6yr old pug and is the sweetest most loving, kind and incredible pup. We live in Portland and experienced some extreme air qualities recently due to the fires in Oregon, California, and Washington. This began to cause respiratory issues for Jack and required us to have him checked out with his local vet. It began roughly about two months ago with his visits, and in the beginning he was making some slow improvements, but during this time has lost half of his body weight.

Unfortunately two nights ago he began to show some severe respiratory symptoms. We woke up the next morning to discover he was also showing a large amount of blood in his stool. We then brought him into his vet immediately to run some tests and were told that due to the severity of his current condition, he needed to be hospitalized and taken to Columbia River Veterinary Specialists- where he is now currently.

We are doing everything possible to help him get the medical attention he requires. Unfortunately his case, according to the Vets, will be very complex because we yet do not know what is the root cause and will require more treatments and tests to help him get back to a healthy state. We appreciate all the help we can get to help Jack recover. Jack has helped me get through the toughest times in my life and has been the best emotional support animal I could have ever asked for, and now he needs our help more than ever.
