Medical bills

Joann has been my best friend for more than 25 years. She is one of those people who never needs or asks for anything, but she is always the first to be there with love and support. Joann raised her daughter entirely alone, and has worked two jobs most of her life. When her house burned several years ago, again, she did not ask for any help. She figured it out on her own. Some time after that she and Ken were married. Joann waited most of her life to marry and she and Ken have not had it easy. A few years ago Ken was hurt on the job. He has had surgery on his back and still can not work. He has been in pain for years. Now, ken has cancer. He had to have an emergency tracheotomy and will have to have his voice box removed. Joann has had to take off work to care for him. Did I mention that she is a waitress? This means she has no income if she doesn't work. For my friend, this is just another part of her life. She just has to "deal with it" as she puts it. I am asking my friends and hers to help her out. Ken is so worried about the medical bills. He needs to just focus on getting well and Joann need to focus on making him comfortable.
