My brother needs surgery!

Please help our son.
Our 25 year old son Jeremiah has been bed ridden suffering with severe Ulcerative Colitis for the last year, which is basically chronic diarrhea. With the blood loss he has become anemic, weak, tired and getting worse all the time. He goes to the bathroom 12 times on a good day and many more on a bad day. He is basically flushing a little more of himself down the toilet each time. So far he has lost around 50 pounds. He has been unable to leave the house except for doctor or hospital visits.
His doctor has tried numerous treatments including pills and infusions, all to no avail. His final option is having 2 surgeries, the first to remove his entire colon and create an opening for a colostomy bag, and the second about 6 months later, to create a “pouch” out of his small intestine to eliminate the need for the colostomy bag.
Obviously he is unable to work so we have to cover his expenses and we are unable to afford to get insurance for him. He has applied for disability and was denied so we have gotten an attorney to appeal that decision.
He has applied for the indigent program at the hospital which would cover any fees there. His surgeon has agreed to work with us on the cost, but we still need to come up with $5000 before they will do the first surgery.
He is a good boy; he doesn’t drink or do drugs. His only form of entertainment is playing on his computer. He even moved from Washington to Arizona 3 years ago to help us after his dad had an accident which left him totally disabled for life.
We have always tried to help others when we can and now it is time for us to ask for the help. Look into your hearts and if you can give anything at all, we would be eternally grateful. If you are unable to contribute we understand and ask that you include us in your prayers.
