Helping Afghan Girls Education Through Art

ART FOR A BETTER FUTURE FOR AFGHAN GIRLS

 

Since Afghanistan fell to the Taliban in mid-August, the world has witnessed stories of perseverance, heroism, and heartache as Afghans flee their country. But more than 35 million Afghans remain in Afghanistan, and the most uncertain future remains for Afghan girls.

 

Taliban opened schools, but only boys of all ages were asked to return to school, leaving out secondary ,high school and university

students. More than 2.2 million Afghan girls were unable to attend school as recently as last year – 60 percent of the total children out-of-school in the country.

 

Hon.Fawzia Koofi , Afghanistan's first woman deputy speaker, member of peace negotiation team and nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize is officially launching this crowdfunding campaign with the help of visual artist activist G R who will be donating his digital art to every campaign donor according to the price options below.

 

The money generated through this campaign will go to provide scholarships for girls who graduated high school so that they are able pursue their dream of higher education.
