Hospital Bills

Back in early August I was on my way from Bulgaria to London after seeing my family off at the Sofia Airport to go ahead of me back to Malta where we have lived most of the past five years. That day, my legs started to swell up and break out in a strange rash before I got on my flight to London. As a writer of encouraging books that give people hope in God and His son Jesus I was going to London to be interviewed on four radio stations in Ireland, Wales, England, and London to give the British people hope and encouragement in these dark times of fear of the pandemic. The day I arrived in London I went into self quarantine because I had come from a country that last minute did not make the safe travel corridor list. I was able to do the four radio station interviews remotely and to encourage the peoples of Ireland and the United Kingdom before my swelling legs worsened and broke out into an encircling red rash days later.

Because of my legs that worsened by the day, I was treated at the University College London (UCL) hospital and investigated for the strange condition in my legs by the London School of Tropical Medicine staff of the NHS foundation. My condition improved with treatment and it seemed a month later that I could safely travel on to Malta to be with my beloved children Alex and Irina.

Unfortunately the moment that I stepped off the plane in Malta my condition worsened immediately. My legs began to break out into ulcers on my ankles in the extreme heat of September 7th and the rash that had been improving in London dramatically worsened. I was soon admitted to Mater Dei Hospital via ambulance for an accompanying chest infection

I did not have a chance to put my insurance policy in place when I returned to Malta because I became so incredibly sick so quickly. I was forced to pay for my hospital treatment for two admissions to Mater Dei Malta's main hospital as a result. My treatment is still ongoing and my legs are very slowly improving but I am still in great pain. I came back especially to be with my two beloved children, to teach my son Alex again as the headmaster of his accredited online school program and to be here for my teenage daughter Irina. My entire family needs me healed and whole. I have been overwhelmed by the medical bills in Malta on top of the costs of being in London for treatment for the month of August. I now have only a few days to come up with this money for the associated medical costs here in Malta. God bless you all for helping me in my time of need.
