Jeremiah's Journey to Interlochen

Hi, I am Jeremiah Gabriel Moultrie. I am 16 years old and next to my twin sister, I'm the oldest of five children at home (but l am also number 7 of 11 children). My main instrument is Viola. I am a resident of Moncks Corner, South Carolina and currently a student at Goose Creek High School BCA (Berkeley Center for the Arts) Program in Goose Creek, South Carolina.  I developed a love and passion for music at an early age.  My passion for music continued to expand when I attended Marrington Middle School of the Arts, under the tutelage of Sharese Pearson-Bush through Special Talented Enrichment Program of Berkeley County.  Upon an audition and acceptance to the BCA program,  I've continued to develop and enhance my skills as a musician under the tutelage of Ann Chafin-Raymond. Since my journey through this program, I have rendered community performances in churches in Moncks Corner, SC, Pineville, SC, St. Stephen, SC,  Walterboro, SC, and  Allendale, SC. I’ve performed at a nursing facility in Moncks Corner, SC and at the Region Medical Center Hospital in Orangeburg, SC. I've also had the privilege to perform for weddings in the Greater Charleston area. I enjoy making others happy! I have had the privilege of being a Junior Counselor/Violin Instructor at Legacy School of Performing Arts in Quincy, Florida under the leadership of its Founder, Mrs. Rasheen Jamison Richardson.  I’ve attended SC Governor’s School Academy Summer Program.  I’ve played in the following orchestras: Charleston Symphony Youth Orchestra (Assistant Principal Violist), SCMEA Region/All-State Orchestra (Assistant Principal Violist), BCA Pit Orchestra (The Little Mermaid)(Concertmaster) , BCA Honor Orchestra (Principal Violist), All-County Orchestra (Concertmaster and Principal Violist), Summerville Orchestra , STEP Orchestra (Concertmaster), SCGSAH Academy Orchestra (Assistant Concertmaster),and Performed side by side with Charleston Symphony Orchestra.  I've performed a solo at the SCGSAH and BCA Honors Recital and 7 Superior Ratings at Solo and Ensemble (4 Solos, 3 Ensembles). As you can see I enjoy playing music because it makes me happy ! To attend Interlochen School of Arts in Interlochen, Michigan has been a dream and a desire of mine since my freshman year. Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend Interlochen this summer (June 23, 2018-August 6, 2018) without donations from supporters like you.
