Our dog DJ has just this week been diagnosed with lymphoma. Just as life seemed perfect with a baby due in 10 weeks, we got the heart wrenching news our fur baby has cancer. We are no where near ready to say goodbye to DJ and we decided to go down the treatment path for DJ. DJ is 4 years old, 5 in July, so he is too young to leave us! We probably won't be able to ever cure him but we can buy him more time (without treatment we only have a few weeks, but with treatment a year or more with some luck) where he will be very comfortable and in remission. We understand this is going to be expensive journey with lots of visits to the vet. But he isn't just a pet to us, he is family and our best mate. Who knows miracles do happen and we are learning more things about cancer as time goes on. We are trying to be positive. We have made the promise to him that we will do all we can for him. We certainly need him here to meet his human baby brother in July.
We have set up this fund so you can donate to DJ, every cent will strictly go to DJs account with Lindisfarne Vet where he is receiving treatment. Any money we receive to this account will be appreciated so much more than words can express and we will be doing fundraising events along the way- such as BBQs and selling drinks and any other ideas that we come up with.
SEvery cent will help so please donate even if it's just a few dollars! We would be forever grateful and every cent equates to more time with him and more chance of further treatments becoming available for him.
Tomorrow we have an appt to work out his exact treatment plan.
We are obviously going to go without as much as we can to help give him what he needs but we also need your help. So please, DIG DEEP 4 DJ, and help us get him into remission. The tears are flowing and we beg for your help.
