Puerto Rico Exchange Trip

A group of 16 students from our school is trying to fundraise enough money to afford a trip this upcoming January to visit our exchange school in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Our objective is to build an educational bridge between Design Tech High School and Francisco Manrique Cabrera by enhancing cultural immersion in two different U.S. grounds through the lens of Design Thinking.

We have been working with Francisco Manrique Cabrera to implement design thinking classes into their curriculum. Our school teaches the students the process of design thinking throughout all four years of high school, and this is something that FMC is interested in implementing in their own school. They have been implementing aspects of our school, such as a 2-week long design thinking intensive called intersession, so we are visiting to help kick-off the start of their intersession.
