She came into the world a beautiful package of pink toes and brown eyes.  Little did anyone know the warrior that would rise; being born in Phoenix, Arizona, symbolic of the bird that re-emerges from the flames.    Her given name is Nicole, which became a prophetic cry for her destiny; (incidentally not a lot of research is done in the US before we name our children).  BUT, every time we called her Nicole, we were speaking “victorious people” into her life.  It is of Greek origin and God knew she would need victory spoken out over her constantly. Nicole, or “Coleface or Cole” (as her family lovingly calls her), is married to Fredrick “Dallaz” Morgan.  She is the mother of 5 children, ages 20, 20, 19, 17 and 9.  She bore 3 internally and 2 inherited through her marriage. As mentioned previously the Phoenix, Nicole is one.  She has been through fiery trials and flames her entire life, always emerging stronger and more determined to live.  In 2010 she was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer, upon turning 33 years of age.  Nicole triumphed over radiation, chemotherapy, and a double mastectomy, to emerge whole and victorious over the BRACA II positive cancer that tried to take her out.  And, worked full time through 90% of that!  Oral chemo was to be her lifetime bullet for that demon. Cancer didn’t like her victory, in 2012 after complaining of pain in her rib cage, she learned that enemy was back; with cancer returning Stage 4 with Mets to bones.  Attacking her ribs, pelvis, spine (T-5 vertebrae cracked), and a tumor lay on top of the protective lining of the skull.  Radiation again, still working full time she pressed forward, never one to quit.  There were times she’d call me, while driving from work, stating “I can barely feel my feet pushing the pedal”.    VICTORIOUS WARRIOR! In 2013 she began to have excruciating migraines, hospitalized numerous times, MRI’s, Bone scans, lab work.  By 2014 testing showed the cancer attempting to overtake her again, the cancer at this time is attacking her entire body.  A  Cat scan of the sinus cavity showed impacted sinuses.  Her calcium levels landed her in the hospital as her kidneys were attempting to shut down. STILL SHE ROSE! After tooth extractions she began to experience numbness in her lip and jaw bone.  The weapon of war: radiation for 10 consecutive days, the jaw, brain, and loss of her signature Lions mane weeks later.                    STILL SHE ROSE! In February 2014 she finally took off work, (short term disability STD).  Not only did the enemy try to stop her, but also her income, which has been cut significantly.  Her goal is to take a less stress of herself as her main focus should be fighting for her life. April 2014: Talking about going back to work May 2014: Fierce determination drove 25 miles alone to her Mom’s house (“Eeek!” said mom).  TWICE!! NOW LETS RISE FOR HER Nicole’s body, mind and soul, needs to rest and heal; so she can RISE LIKE THE PHOENIX
