Amie’s New Leg

Hello, my name is Hannah Wemyss-Sanderson, from Ballarat, VIC. I am Amie’s niece. I have created this fundraiser on behalf of Amie. Her story is as follows:

After a simple slip that resulted in a ruptured popliteal artery, fractured patella, dislocated knee, 6 surgeries and a serious infection, there was no choice but to amputate my right leg. While I am provided with the most basic leg by the government, any advances on that will come from my pocket. We want to try to raise money to be able to afford the best and most realistic prosthetic leg, so that I can continue my life as I was before and feel more like myself.
