Serbia and Bosnia Flooding Donations

Hello everybody! We are a group of teens from Lincolnwood School  District 74 in Chicago, IL. We are aging from 11-14 years old. We are the second generation of our families in America. Our parents were born in Serbia and Bosnia and immigrated to the U.S  in the 90s. Most of our families still live in Serbia and Bosnia. My friends and I wanted to help out the people suffering in Serbia and Bosnia so this page was created to raise money for those affected by the flooding in the Balkans in Europe (Serbia and Bosnia). Both countries have declared a state of emergency and everybody from the areas that have got it worst need to be evacuated as soon as possible. Some cities are completely underwater. The water's current is so strong it has swept things away such steel bridges, houses, buildings, cars, etc. The known casualties so far are 44 people. I know what you are thinking, with such a strong flood why are there only 44 casualties? Well, most of the cities have been sunk by the water so much that it isn't possible for rescue crews to come and look for the dead. The equivalent of 4 months of rain fell in less then 40 hours. Both countries have been left without electricity or minimal water. Since the lifestyle for most people in Serbia and Bosnia is based off of agriculture, they have animals such as cattle, chicken, sheep, pigs, horses, and lamb. These animals have drowned and put hazardous bacteria in the water. You can even see dogs waiting on the roofs of the houses waiting for their owners to  return to save them. This has been considered the worst flooding in 120 years by many. Please take a moment of your time to make a donation to benefit the people suffering in Bosnia and Serbia. Anything and everything will help. Please help these people survive this hard time and put a smile on their face. All money raised will be given to the non-profit orginizations Red Cross to buy the stuff that is needed in Bosnia and Serbia. We all can do this; a little can go a long way.
