Graduation Play Fundraiser
Donation protected
My name is Andy Hourihan and I am a current student at The Gaiety School of Acting, graduating in 2022.
Our two years of training culminates in a Graduation Play in June 2022.
This is our opportunity to showcase our talent to industry professionals in the Irish theatre community, casting directors our friends and family and the general public.
There is 24 students in my year and the play is written specifically for us, highlighting each of our individual strengths.
This is going to be a large scale production on the Smock Alley Theatre Main Stage.
As part of our curriculum, we must fundraise to cover the extensive costs for the production of our show.
Normally we would host a series of fundraising events throughout the year however due to Covid-19 this has been compromised.
Instead, we have set individual goals to raise money for the show.
For my fundraiser we are going to do a 10hr danceathon which we will do in Smock Alley theatre which will be able to be viewed by anyone who would like to donate.
I would really appreciate your support on my campaign to raise the much needed funds for the production.
As well as investing in the arts during a truly unprecedented time, your kind contribution will go towards:
A professional writer and director
Hiring Smock Alley Theatre for the week long run of the show
A professional costume designer and custom made costumes
A professional set designer and custom made set
A professional lighting designer
A stage manager
My target is to reach €1,000 by 2022 and I am determined to meet this target.
Thank you very much for your time and consideration,
Andy Hourihan
