Surgery for Chance
CHANCE needs surgery
Still believes in people after all that has been done to him. He is the most grateful, loving, gentle, sweet dog. He doesn't ask for much. Just your love and he will repay you tenfold.
The brutality that Chance had to endure the first part of his life we will never truly know. He was found malnourished and near death wandering the streets in eastern Washington He had multiple lacerations on his neck face body and limbs, massive bruising and cracked ribs. Xrays revealed two pellets lodged in him that were best left alone. Vet said it appeared he had had a previous broken foreleg that did not appear to have been set. Against the odds Chance clung to life, and survived the surgeries that closed up the lacerations and gaping wounds. It is presumed he was a "Bait Dog" a handicapped dog, thrown into the ring for either a single dog or multiple dogs to attack, for the entertainment of humans.
Chance still believes in people after all that was done to him, but he still needs a home, and one last surgery for an anterior cruciate ligament tear. Chance will be having his surgery in the next few weeks so we need to raise the money. His foster Mom is going to volunteer the warm dry clean place and the rehabilitation therapy required for the quiet time, massages, and stretching muscles and ligament exercises to heal the joint properly. Once he is recovered he will be a much better candidate for adoption.
